About me

PaulI’ve been working in radio with the BBC since 1991*, as a journalist, producer and presenter, but the job started to evolve in 2001 when we began work on the BBC Cumbria website, which I’ve run with a small team since it was launched.

In 2006 I travelled to New York with a BBC colleague to collect a Webby Award for our Digital Lives work in the Community section – view screen grab.

I’ve been working on and launching my own series of websites for some time now, and you can follow the entire process through from construction, problem solving, marketing and launching … and hopefully pick up some tips with me along the way.

In addition, I’ll pass on shortcuts and tips that I’ve learned along the way.

I’ve wasted money on some products that cost a lot and delivered little or nothing.

I’ve also discovered some brilliant tools along the way, many of which do charge a fee but are worth every penny, pound, dollar, euro or cent that you pay for them.

I hope you enjoy the blog and find lots of useful stuff in it and I’d love it if you contributed, passed it on and shared your own knowledge and experience.

If you’ve anything of your own to add, please post a comment.

All the best,
